WhatsApp Business Account (WABA)
A WhatsApp Business Account, or WABA, is the Meta business asset that holds a company's WhatsApp phone numbers, templates, messaging access, quality status, and billing relationship.
What does WhatsApp Business Account (WABA) mean in practice?
A WABA is the account layer used to operate a business on the WhatsApp Business Platform. It belongs inside a Meta business portfolio and connects phone numbers, approved message templates, permissions and payment arrangements. Agencies should prefer client-owned WABAs: the client keeps the number and account, grants the agency necessary access and can revoke that access during offboarding. With Dvaarik, Meta charges the client's own WhatsApp account directly and Dvaarik adds zero markup to Meta message charges. The partner Social Plan and AI conversation usage are separate product charges.
Real example
A clinic owns its WABA and WhatsApp number, grants its agency operational access, and pays Meta directly while the agency runs the AI enquiry workflow.
