What is Dvaarik AI?
Dvaarik AI is an AI receptionist platform for Indian service businesses — salons, clinics, and restaurants. It handles customer chat, voice calls, appointment booking, and payment collection in 22+ Indian languages plus most world languages, 24/7.
Is Dvaarik a WhatsApp chatbot?
No. Dvaarik is a web platform where customers interact at dvaarik.com/your-business. It offers AI chat, voice calls, booking, and payments. WhatsApp is used for outbound notifications — booking confirmations, 24-hour reminders, and payment links — from your own WhatsApp Business number. On the Business plan, WhatsApp also becomes an inbound AI response channel.
What types of businesses can use Dvaarik?
Dvaarik is built for service businesses: salons, spas, clinics, hospitals, restaurants, cafes, wellness centers, gyms, studios, and more. Each business type gets specialized features — for example, restaurants get menu ordering with delivery zones, while salons get staff-wise scheduling.
How is Dvaarik different from a regular chatbot?
Regular chatbots follow scripted flows. Dvaarik uses Google Gemini AI to understand natural language, detect customer intent, and take real actions — checking slot availability, locking appointments, sending payment links, and booking appointments. It also handles voice calls and speaks all 22 scheduled Indian languages (plus most world languages) natively.

What languages does Dvaarik AI support?
Dvaarik natively supports all 22 scheduled Indian languages — English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Punjabi, Urdu, Odia, Assamese, Sanskrit, Sindhi, Konkani, Kashmiri, Nepali, Manipuri, Bodo, Dogri, Maithili, and Santali — plus most world languages (Spanish, French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, and more). It also handles code-mixed variants like Hinglish, Tenglish, and Tanglish, which is how most Indians actually communicate.
How does language detection work?
Dvaarik uses a 3-tier detection system: (1) Unicode script detection for native scripts like తెలుగు or हिंदी, (2) transliterated word matching for romanized input like 'naku haircut kavali', and (3) Gemini AI fallback for ambiguous text. Detection happens per message, so customers can switch languages mid-conversation.
Do I need to configure languages?
No configuration needed. Language detection is automatic. When a customer types in Telugu, the AI responds in Telugu. When they switch to Hindi mid-conversation, the AI switches too.
Pricing & Plans
How much does Dvaarik cost?
Starter plan is ₹499/month (AI chat, 200 bookings). Growth plan is ₹999/month (chat + voice, 500 bookings, 60 voice minutes). Business plan is ₹1,999/month (full platform, 1,500 bookings, 120 voice minutes, WhatsApp AI Channel). All plans paid from day one — no default free trial.
Is there a free trial?
No, not by default. At ₹499/month, plans are already cheaper than a single missed customer call — we don't want to give the product away for free by default. We do run a limited Pilot Program (30 days free, no credit card) for qualifying businesses who apply at /pilot — approvals are manual and seats are limited.
Does Dvaarik take a cut of customer payments?
No. Dvaarik charges 0% commission on your customer payments — you keep 100%. You pick how you want to collect: (1) Direct UPI deep link — customers pay straight to your UPI ID with ₹0 fees end-to-end; you manually match the UTR in your bank SMS and confirm the booking. Or (2) Razorpay Route — booking confirms automatically when payment succeeds; Razorpay charges their standard ~2% gateway fee (kept by Razorpay, not Dvaarik).
Can I change plans later?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade your plan anytime from the dashboard. Changes take effect on your next billing cycle.
What happens when I exceed my booking quota?
You can purchase booking top-up packs: 50 bookings for ₹99, 150 for ₹199, or 500 for ₹399. Packs never expire and carry over month to month.
Features
How do voice calls work?
Dvaarik uses Google Gemini Live for real-time AI voice conversations — not IVR menus. Customers can call from the browser or a real phone number (with the Phone add-on at ₹2,499/month). The AI talks naturally, checks availability, and books appointments by voice.
Can I add a chat widget to my website?
Yes. Add a single script tag to your website and customers get a floating chat + call button. The widget is ~8KB, customizable (position, colors, greeting), and mobile responsive.
How do WhatsApp notifications work?
Connect your WhatsApp Business Account through Meta Embedded Signup (your token is encrypted at rest). Dvaarik then sends booking confirmations, 24-hour reminders, and payment links from your own WhatsApp number — not from a shared Dvaarik number. If WhatsApp delivery fails, SMS is sent via Gupshup as a fallback after 120 seconds.
Can Dvaarik collect payments?
Yes. Dvaarik supports two modes: direct UPI deep links (₹0 fees, you verify the UTR manually) and Razorpay Route (auto-confirm, standard ~2% Razorpay gateway fee — Dvaarik takes 0%). Customers can pay deposits or full amounts; links are sent via chat, voice, or WhatsApp.
Setup & Technical
How long does setup take?
About 5 minutes. Sign up with your phone number, add your business details (services, staff, hours), and you're live. No technical skills required.
Do I need to install any software?
No. Dvaarik is a web platform. You manage everything from the dashboard at app.dvaarik.com. Your customers interact at dvaarik.com/your-business. The only optional installation is the chat widget script tag for your website.
Can I integrate Dvaarik with my existing systems?
For enterprise clients, we offer custom API integrations through a plugin architecture. Your AI can call external APIs (CRM, inventory, booking systems) during conversations. Contact us at hello@dvaarik.com for enterprise pricing.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Every business's data is isolated (multi-tenant with business_id filtering on every query). WhatsApp tokens are encrypted at rest. Payments are processed through Razorpay (PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant). We use Sentry for error monitoring.
