Coaching Institute AI Calling India: ₹2/min

An AI calling agent for a coaching institute in India costs from ₹2 per minute of talk time on Dvaarik, billed in whole minutes from prepaid credits, with no voice subscription and no minimum volume — plus ₹1,500 per 30 days if we supply the phone number. Today Dvaarik is self-serve with no setup fee and no required plan — usage is prepaid credits, voice from ₹2/min with whole-minute billing. This page works the admissions-season arithmetic month by month, compares twelve named vendors selling into India — ourselves included — on what their published rate actually requires, and states exactly what the agent is not allowed to say to a student or a parent.

What do AI calling vendors in India actually charge a coaching institute?

Every rate below was read on the vendor's own page on 21 Jul 2026 and is recorded in our internal price ledger with the sentence it came from. The middle column is the one that matters, because a per-minute number on its own tells you almost nothing.

VendorPublished rateWhat it takes to get that rateChecked
Dvaarikfrom ₹2/minNothing. It applies from the first minute — no voice plan, no minimum volume, no lock-in. Add ₹1,500 per 30 days only if we supply the number. Our own published figures26 Jul 2026
Scalify Labs₹0.40/minTheir own page attaches this note to the table it appears in: "Rates are estimates based on publicly available information and direct conversations. Always get a formal quote — rates change with volume." Their service page prices plans from ₹15,000/month with voice minutes billed separately on top, states a minimum engagement of 10,000 minutes/month with a 3-month initial commitment, and lists ₹15,000–₹40,000 one-time setup. Hindi and English are standard21 Jul 2026
Agni by Ravan.aiupto ₹2/minPublished on the quote-only Enterprise tier, qualified on their own homepage as an "Enterprise volume rate at 10,000+ minutes". The buyable entry is ₹2,999/month including 300 minutes with ₹8/min overage; Starter is Hindi and English only, all 30+ languages from Growth. Prices exclude 18% GST21 Jul 2026
HuskyVoice.AI₹4/minPublished strictly as "Enterprise volume pricing as low as ₹4/min" — an at-volume floor, not an entry rate. Their entry plan is ₹1,999/month for 100 voice credits at 2 credits per minute. Their own pricing guide says pricing depends on call volume, workflows, integrations and setup21 Jul 2026
Trikon₹5/minFlat, no voice plan, no setup fee. Telephony and DID numbers are billed separately by your own carrier, so this is not your landed cost21 Jul 2026
Botsense₹9/min Starter · ₹7/min Growth · ₹5/min EnterprisePublished openly with "No monthly commitment" on the AI-calling page. Starter is Hindi and English only; Enterprise routes to a custom quote, and every CTA on the page routes to WhatsApp or sales rather than a self-serve checkout. No GST treatment is stated21 Jul 2026
Bolna AI6.00¢/min, displayed on their own page as ₹5.52/minThe standard rate. It falls to 4.51¢/min only at a one-time $3,000 load. Their docs state total call cost is speech-to-text, LLM, text-to-speech, telephony and a flat Bolna platform fee whose amount is not published21 Jul 2026
VaniAgent₹4.5–5.5/minSits on the ₹4,999/month Metered Credits plan. The flat unlimited tier is ₹21,999/month with a 3-month minimum commitment. Prices exclude 18% GST. They publish 27 Indian languages, more than our 22 plus English21 Jul 2026
Dhiyo AI Labs₹5/minPublished as a "starts at" floor inside a blog post. Their FAQ says final pricing depends on call volume, setup and workflow requirements, and every tier on their pricing page reads "Custom"21 Jul 2026
Edesy₹6/min pay-as-you-go, plus telephony at $0.07/minMinimum recharge ₹500. ₹5/min requires the ₹1,499/month Pro plan, ₹4/min the ₹14,999/month Ultra plan. How to read that table

Five of the eleven vendors above require a monthly plan before a single call is placed — Scalify Labs, Agni, HuskyVoice, VaniAgent and MyOperator. A sixth, Dhiyo AI Labs, publishes nothing either way about whether a plan is required. Three publish their lowest number on a tier that routes to a sales conversation rather than a checkout: Agni's Enterprise, HuskyVoice's enterprise-volume floor and Botsense's Enterprise. One publishes no number at all. That is the actual shape of this market, and it is why the honest claim we make is about terms rather than about being lowest: ₹2/min from the very first minute, no voice plan, no minimum volume, no lock-in. We are not going to tell you nobody else can be cheaper than us, because at 50,000 minutes a month with a negotiated enterprise contract, several of these vendors plainly can be.

One caution that applies to your own research as much as to ours. Several of these vendors publish comparison tables containing other vendors' rates. We checked one of those against the vendor's own published rate and the two did not agree — a rival's page quoted Bolna well above the ₹5.52/min that Bolna's own page displays. Do not take a price for vendor X from vendor Y's comparison page, including from ours: every number above is linked in our ledger to the vendor's own URL and the sentence it was read in, and you should ask any vendor quoting you a competitor's price to do the same.

The admissions workflows that actually move money

Described mechanically, with no performance claims attached. Every name below is invented.

1. Results-week overflow

On the day a major result is announced, an institute's phone behaves unlike any other day of the year. Parents call in a burst, and every line that is engaged during that burst is an enquiry you have to win back later, if you can. The agent answers every line simultaneously — concurrency is what you are buying here, at ₹1,500 per extra line per 30 days — identifies the institute, captures the student's stream, class, marks or rank band as the parent states it, and books a counselling slot. It never comments on whether the score is good.

2. Speed-to-lead on ad enquiries

A parent fills your "free NEET counselling session" lead form at 10:40pm. The agent calls back within about 60 seconds, in the language the parent answers in, and either books the counselling slot or logs why not. The lead sheet fills itself. See speed to lead and outbound calls.

The rule that governs all of this: we call only your own enquiries and your own students' parents. No purchased student databases, no scraped numbers, no lists sourced from a school or a competitor. If buying a student database and dialling it is the campaign you want, we are the wrong vendor and we will say so on the first call.

3. Demo class and scholarship test — booking, reminder, and the no-show recovery

The agent books the seat, sends the WhatsApp confirmation on your own number, calls or messages the reminder the evening before, and calls the no-shows the next morning to rebook them into the following batch. Slot-locking matters because a demo batch has a fixed seat count. See booking.

4. Fee instalments, deposits and seat-blocking payments

If you run two or three fee instalments a year and chase the later ones by hand, this is the workflow that pays for itself first. The agent calls the parents whose instalment is due, states the amount and the due date from your own records, and sends a payment link mid-conversation. It can also collect a seat-blocking deposit at the point the parent says yes, while they are still on the call. No commission is taken on what you collect. See payments.

5. Reactivating last season's enquiry register

If you have a book of enquiries from last year that never converted — not a bought list, your own register — you load it, the agent calls inside the hours you set, identifies the institute, states why it is calling, and logs the outcome as booked, call back later, not interested, or no answer. A parent who says stop is marked and not called again by that campaign.

6. The parent is the buyer, the student filled the form

The subject described in this section: This is a coaching-specific detail that breaks generic receptionist scripts. The enquiry comes in under a 16-year-old's name in English, and the call is answered by a father who wants to talk about fees in Hindi, Marathi or Telugu. The agent handles all 22 scheduled Indian languages plus code-mixed Hinglish, and switches mid-sentence rather than asking anyone to press 1. It also handles the two conversations differently: batch timings and syllabus for the student, fees, instalments, transport and hostel for the parent. See multilingual.

7. Batch and branch routing

JEE Advanced, NEET dropper, foundation, CA foundation, CLAT — different fees, different timings, different counsellors. The agent routes on what the caller says rather than on a keypad tree, and warm-transfers a hot enquiry to the counsellor on duty during working hours.

8. Parent communication once the student is enrolled

Absence alerts, test-score and parent-teacher meeting notifications, batch-timing changes and holiday notices go out on WhatsApp on your own number, with a voice call as the fallback for parents who do not use WhatsApp. Meta bills those message fees directly to your own account and we add nothing — see WhatsApp Business API costs in India.

What the agent is never allowed to say to a student or a parent

In coaching, the conversation on the phone is a sales conversation about a young person's future. That makes the boundary tighter than it is in most industries, and we would rather write it down than leave it to a prompt.

The agent does thisThe agent never does this
States your published fees, instalment structure and due datesNegotiates fees, invents a discount, or promises a scholarship amount
States the eligibility criteria you gave usRules on whether a particular student is eligible
Books a counselling slot with a humanCounsels on stream choice or career direction
Repeats a score or rank band the caller states, to route the callPredicts a rank, an expected percentile or a chance of selection
Describes your batches, timings and syllabus as documentedGuarantees admission, a seat, a college, or a result
Reads out your published past-results page if you ask it toQuotes selection figures we cannot see in your own records

Advertising and outcome claims in the coaching sector have drawn regulatory attention in India. We did not re-read the official text while writing this page, so treat that as a prompt to confirm the current position with your own adviser, not as a statement of what the rules say today. Our operating rule does not depend on it: the agent makes no claim about outcomes, and every factual claim it makes is one you supplied and signed off.

Outbound conduct, non-negotiable

  • Only your own enquiries and your own students' parents. Never a purchased or scraped list.
  • The agent identifies your institute by name at the start of every outbound call.
  • Calling hours are set by you and respected. No admission calls to a parent at 7am on a Sunday unless you configure it.
  • A parent or student who asks not to be called again is marked and dropped from that campaign.
  • Call recording is optional at +₹0.10/min. If you do not enable it, calls are not recorded.

On student data: the enquiry register is yours. We do not sell it, share it or reuse it for anyone else. We are not going to recite sections of the DPDP Act at you on this page, because we did not read the official text while writing it — take your own legal advice on consent and retention before running a reactivation campaign over a list of minors' parents, and ask any vendor who does recite the Act at you whether their architecture actually implements what they are quoting. More on the legal shape of outbound calling in is AI calling legal in India.

Setup: what you give us, and what happens in the first week

We build the agent for you. This is a studio model, not software you configure yourself — there is no dashboard to learn, no plan to pick and no trial to start.

What you provide

  1. Your batches and fees — every course, batch timing, fee and instalment structure, and which of those the agent may quote on a call versus which must go to a counsellor.
  2. Your admission calendar — demo dates, scholarship-test dates, session start dates, early-bird deadlines.
  3. Counsellor availability — who takes a warm transfer, in which hours, per branch, and the fallback when nobody picks up.
  4. Your booking destination — a calendar or sheet we can write counselling slots into.
  5. Your own enquiry register, if you want outbound running from week one, and the calling hours you want it to respect.
  6. The questions your desk answers every day — hostel, transport, is there a demo class, do you have a dropper batch, what happened to last year's students.
  7. Sign-off on the refusal wording for rank prediction, selection guarantees and fee negotiation.

Live in days, not months, for a single-branch institute. Every agent is built personally by Rohith Sriramula, working from Paloncha in Bhadradri Kothagudem, Telangana. There is no team, no office and no support desk.

Before you commit anything, hear one. The live demo is the only proof we have, and we would rather you judge it than take our word for it — try it from the pilot page, or read how it works.

Numbers we refused to publish

While researching this page we found several figures circulating in coaching-sector AI marketing that are not in this article, and it is worth naming them so you can push back when a vendor quotes them at you.

  • Cost-per-lead comparisons between AI calling and human tele-calling for coaching institutes. We found a published range presented as a benchmark. It carried no methodology, no sample of institutes and no period. We are not republishing it.
  • Coaching market-size figures quoted from a market-research firm and used to imply demand for AI calling. The market being large tells you nothing about what your agent will cost or convert.
  • A peak-to-trough seasonality multiple. Everyone in this industry knows admissions calling spikes and then dies away, but we could not source a measured figure for how big the swing is, so the ratio in our worked example is labelled as our own assumption rather than dressed up as a fact.
  • Conversion-rate and no-show-reduction percentages. We do not have these for Indian coaching institutes and will not borrow an unsourced one. Measure it over one admission cycle in your own institute — that is the only figure worth having.
  • Competitor rates taken from a rival's comparison table. Checked against the vendor's own published rate, at least one such figure was materially wrong. Every competitor number on this page came from the vendor's own page on 21 Jul 2026.

If a vendor quotes you a conversion uplift for coaching admissions, ask which institutes, over which admission cycle, measured against what baseline, and who counted. If the answer is a case study with no institute named, treat it as marketing.

When a coaching institute should pick someone else

The subject described in this section: This is the section most vendor pages do not write. Ours is specific.

Pick someone else if you need a predictable flat bill. If your finance process needs one identical number every month and you would rather overpay in December than see a variable invoice, a flat monthly plan genuinely suits you better than usage pricing. Several vendors in the table above sell exactly that, and it is a legitimate preference rather than a mistake.

Pick someone else if you are running 40,000-plus outbound calls a month. At that volume you should be negotiating an enterprise contract with a company that has a support rota, a status page and an account manager. We are one person building agents personally. Our terms are honest at your volume; our operational depth is not.

Pick someone else if you need a deep two-way CRM or LMS integration on day one. We do custom integration work — see enterprise — but if your admissions process is already wired into a system that must be the source of truth from hour one, scope that properly with someone whose product is that integration.

Pick someone else if you want cold calling. If the plan is to buy a student database and dial it, we are not your vendor at any price.

Pick someone else if you need an uptime SLA with penalties. We do not offer one and will not pretend to.

What we are good at: a single-branch or few-branch institute that is losing enquiries because the phone rings during class hours and nobody picks up, that spikes hard around results and goes quiet in winter, and that wants the bill to follow the calendar rather than lead it.

If that is you, tell us the problem on WhatsApp at +91 79956 76588 and we will give you a plan and a price in a day. Related reading: AI calling agent price in India 2026, inbound vs outbound AI calling, and AI receptionist cost in India.

Frequently asked questions

What will an AI calling agent actually cost my coaching institute per month?

From ₹2 per minute of talk time on Dvaarik, with no voice subscription and no minimum volume, plus ₹1,500 per 30 days if we supply the phone number. Today Dvaarik is self-serve with no setup fee and no required plan — usage is prepaid credits, voice from ₹2/min with whole-minute billing. In the worked two-branch example on this page, a peak results month at 7,150 billed minutes with two extra concurrent lines comes to about ₹19,300.

Is it worth paying for this in the off season when nobody is enquiring?

That is the right question to ask, and the honest answer is that at very low volume our model gets expensive per minute. At 900 billed minutes in a December month you pay ₹1,800 of talk time plus ₹1,500 for the number — ₹3,800, or a blended ₹4.22 per minute against a ₹2 headline. The fixed number charge dominates. Two things fix it: point your existing institute number at us instead of taking ours, which removes the ₹1,500 entirely, and drop the extra concurrent lines you carried through May, since they are charged per 30 days rather than annually. What you do not do is pay a peak-priced monthly plan in December.

Can it call the 2,000 enquiries left over from last year's admission season?

Yes, provided it is your own enquiry register — leads that contacted you, or parents of your own students. You load the list, set the calling hours, and the agent identifies your institute at the start of every call, states why it is calling, and logs each outcome as booked, call back later, not interested or no answer. Anyone who says stop is marked and not called again. At 2,000 calls averaging 2 billed minutes that is 4,000 minutes, or ₹8,000 of talk time. We will not run a campaign over a purchased or scraped student database at any price.

Will parents actually talk to it? Most of my calls happen in Hindi.

The agent handles all 22 scheduled Indian languages plus English at the ₹2/min Bharat Standard rate, and code-mixed Hinglish, and it switches mid-sentence rather than asking anyone to press 1 for Hindi. That matters here because the enquiry form is usually filled by the student in English and the call is answered by a parent who wants to discuss fees in their own language. Some parents will still ask for a person immediately, which is why the transfer-to-counsellor path is configured on day one and the agent never argues with someone who wants a human. We do not have data on how Indian coaching parents respond by age group and will not invent any — call the live demo and judge it yourself.

Can it tell a student their expected rank or which college they will get?

No, and this is a hard boundary rather than a setting. The agent does not predict ranks or percentiles, does not assess a chance of selection, does not rule on whether a particular student is eligible, does not negotiate fees or promise a scholarship amount, and does not guarantee admission or a result. It repeats a score the caller states in order to route the call, states the eligibility criteria and fees you gave us, and books a slot with a human counsellor for anything that requires judgement. You sign off on the exact refusal wording during the build.

Is there a setup fee or minimum commitment?

Dvaarik is self-serve SaaS today: there is no setup fee and no minimum commitment. You log in, add your services, staff, hours and knowledge, connect channels, and pay only for what your agents actually do.

What happens on results day when 400 calls come in at once?

Concurrency is what decides that, not the per-minute rate. Each concurrent line answers one call at a time, and extra lines are ₹1,500 per 30 days each. The two-branch institute in our worked example carries three lines through the April to June peak and drops back to one in December, because the charge is per 30 days rather than contracted for the year. Every call is answered, the caller states the stream and class, and the agent books a counselling slot or captures a callback rather than dropping anyone to voicemail. Today Dvaarik is self-serve with no setup fee and no required plan — usage is prepaid credits, voice from ₹2/min with whole-minute billing.

This page works the arithmetic at real hospital call volumes, sets it against eleven named India vendors' own published rates, and marks the three hospital calls the agent must never handle: emergencies, triage and lab results.
